The Northern region is commonly referred to as the Frontier by Nelots. It’s separated from the rest of Pha by one of the world’s largest mountain ranges and highest, the Nigean Mountains. It is a world in its own, cut off from the rest of Pha and Xadune. Even today travel to the Northern Frontier is rare and very dangerous. To outsiders, little is known about what is on the other side of the Nigeans, and most don’t care. For more than a thousand years, life has gone on in this pocket world, and most would stare in disbelief if they actually saw what was happening over the mountains.
