Your First Event

What to Expect when You’re Adventuring

Your first event can be daunting, but don’t worry, we are here to help!

If you have any questions about your first event, feel free to reach out to cards@xadune.com or on Discord.

What to Do Before the Event

What to Bring

Your first event, you will miss things.

  • Bedding. Beds are twin sized, sheets and blankets or sleeping bags work great.
  • Toiletries. Normal toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant), as well as toilet paper (just in case). Bring a towel for the shower as well.
  • Monstering Garb. This is dark-colored clothing with minimal logos which costuming can be put over.
    • The most important part of Monstering Garb is your comfort. If your coat for winter events is a bright color, bring the coat!
  • Comfortable Shoes. Period-appropriate shoes are fantastic, but your event will be so much better with insoles.
  • Extra Socks, undergarments, etc..
  • Pajamas
  • Optional: Water bottle

If you are starting as a Player Character, make sure you also bring:

  • Character Costuming
  • Boffers, Foam Dart Blasters, Foam Darts, and Packets
  • Character props

Where to Go

Confirm which campsite the event is held at. You can find a list of locations, which describes the sites and gives you directions.

Once you arrive on site, look for the large Tavern, also called the Mess Hall. This will typically be a large building and difficult to miss.

Check In

Check-In will take place either in the Tavern or in a described location. At Check-In, you will be given a white headband, your Character Card if applicable, and your LARP weapons will be checked and safety tagged.

Bring to check in the following items:

  • Boffers and blasters
  • Cash to add to your Tavern Tab (if applicable)

Set Up your Cabin

When you registered for the event, you chose a cabin to sleep in. Find that cabin and get your bed set up!
