About Xadune

Xadune is a Victorian Gaslamp Live Action Role Play (LARP) game with Steampunk, Fantasy, and Horror elements. The game is centered in Atlanta, Georgia, and runs in several Georgia State Parks.

Created 2009 during the rise of steampunk communities, Xadune is now the longest-running LARP campaign in Georgia. Imagined as a LARP like no other, it pioneered elements of LARPing which are common to the region today. Of the firsts in Georgia, Xadune has: the first mod-based LARP, the first fictitious religion system, and the first classless system. Xadune is about reaching new frontiers in live action roleplay.

Xadune hosts nine events yearly, lasting 3 days. Events are held in one of four locations in Georgia: Indian Springs State Park, Hard Labor Creek State Park, F. D. Roosevelt State Park, and A. H. Stevens State Park, in their respective group camps. Events start on Friday night and end Sunday morning. We strive for a high-immersion environment throughout the entire event.

This game is not intended for children. The minimum age to play is 17, as the story of Xadune involves mature topics such as war, violence, poverty, addiction, religion, cults, and politics.

The story of Xadune follows the group of Adventurers in Ward 5, a section of a mysterious Island city home to an infinite number of portals to an infinite number of places. The Island appeared suddenly a over decade ago, and since the world has been attempting to discover its secrets.

Jarrett S.K. Jenny – Owner & Creator

Jarrett Jenny has been involved with role-playing games since 1991 and been LARPing for over twenty years. He has experience in all aspects of game creation and running. In addition to running Xadune he has enjoyed playing other games when available and enjoying the responsibility-free lifestyle of a player character.

Jarrett is a Native Hawaiian with a mechanical technician background and a degree in Mechatronics Engineering. His adventures in life led to working for the National Science Foundation in Antarctica, as well as visiting nearly all continents. He used these experiences to talk and learn from other LARP owners across the globe and create a more realistic world out of Xadune. When not working on game he enjoys spending time with family, motor-sports, and numerous small arts and crafts.

When asked, multiple times throughout his Xadune ownership, “why do you do it”? The response is always the same: “I love telling the stories and seeing player’s joy as they get to experience the world as they effect it.”

Honor Garcia – Content Creator and New Player Relations

Honor Garcia

Hello! I am Honor and I’ve been LARPing since my junior year in college. The only thing I regret is not getting into it sooner! Xadune was my first LARP and it excited me right off the bat. I’ve been coming back ever since and even did a plot stint! Now I am here to help you as Story Team. 🙂

Honor is a professional animal lover and when I’m not gardening I’m probably candle making. Happy to meet you and make this experience fun for everyone!

Emily Myerscough – Media Relations and Logistics

Emily Myerscough started LARPing in 2014 amid unseasonably cold weather and ritualistic sacrifices, and she was immediately hooked. She has worked in one way or another for Xadune since late 2017 and looks forward to continuing to serve the community.

Emily in an engineer by trade, a seamstress by hobby, and a creator at heart. She is a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community and a citizen of Canada. Her goals are to create an immersive and inclusive environment at Xadune.
