3. What is Victorian Gaslamp Fantasy?
Sometimes called an offshoot of Steampunk, Victorian Gaslamp Fantasy is a genre which reflects the Victorian Era, but with magic. Its a bit like the urban fantasy genre, if you were alive in 1890.
What this means for Xadune is, the suitings and stylings are distinctly Victorian, but the ‘impossible’ – magic, and portals, and amazing mechanical creations – is commonplace.
