November Event

With the state of the world, it seems like a really good time to go out into the woods, hang out with our community, and hit each other with foam swords. Come escape to A. H. Stephens State Park with us and immerse yourself a world of magic and stea.=m.

A. H. Stephens State Park

If you’ve not been to Camp Stephens, it is important to remember that it is about an hour further away from Atlanta than Hard Labor Creek. You can find the map pin here!

Volunteer Sign Ups

Everyone who is playing a character must complete one volunteer shift. Please sign up below.

October Event and Charity Haunted Village

October is quite possibly the best time of the year, and what better way to enjoy the fall weather by LARPing and scaring small children? We have both the October Event, and also the Haunted Village for Hard Labor Creek State Park!

October Event

We are returning home to Temple Row at Camp Daniel Morgan, and are away from the soggy, spidery mess of Rutledge.

The weather is looking mild, if muggy, so hydrate before and during the event!

Because we are never sure of the state of cups in the kitchen, it is advised to bring a water bottle. Additionally, if you bring a Broken Rabbit Inn mug from our Teepublic Store, you will get free coffee at breakfast!

Haunted Village for Hard Labor Creek State Park

For the fifth? year in a row, we are setting up and running the Haunted Village at Hard Labor Creek State Park on October 19th. This is a major fundraiser for the State Park and also brings the Halloween spirit to an area of Georgia which does not have much access to spooky season.

Volunteers can arrive Friday, October 18th and stay on site. We will begin setting up the haunt Friday night and finish setup Saturday morning. The first family-friendly tours begin at 1:30pm, and PG-13 tours begin at 6:30pm. All volunteers will be fed lunch and dinner (at least) and can stay the night on Saturday as well.

Volunteers do not need to be Xadune players or LARPers, so if you have family and friends who would like to help out, please feel free to bring them!

For more information, please reach out to Emily, check out the channel on the Xadune Discord Server, or find our Facebook Event!

August 2024 Pre-Event Highlights

Hey Ward 5!

We are two days out from the August Event at Camp Rutledge, and we are so excited to get together in the woods with you!

It has been a little while since we were at Camp Rutledge, so if you are new or need a refresher, you can find a Google Maps pin here. Rutledge cabins are small and more rustic than Daniel Morgan, so be prepared to spend some time setting up your cabin.

Don’t Call it Hotlanta

We are looking at temperatures in the 90’s this weekend, so please be prepared. Start hydrating NOW, and if you are able, bring a water bottle which you can refill in the tavern throughout the event. A water bottle is even better than a Later Tater. If you have a potato-shaped water bottle, see Emily for your prize.

We will be having Water Mods, and if you would like to partake, please bring a swim suit or costuming you don’t mend getting wet. You will be warned ahead of time that a mod is a water mod.

Volunteer Shifts

If you are playing a character, please sign up for your volunteer shift!

July 2024 Event Announcements

Happy Independence Day Weekend, everyone! We can’t wait to celebrate with you in the best way we know how – wacky bats and a wedding!

Water Mods!

It is going to be VERY hot, and as such, we will be having water mods! As always, you will be warned prior to the water mod that it will involve water, and you will be given the opportunity to change. So bring your swim suits or water-friendly costuming, and get ready to cool down with sprinklers and water-based attacks.

Keeping Cool

We strongly recommend everyone bring a fan for their cabins in order to stay cool. Unfortunately, due to the limitations of the electrical system of the site, we cannot allow portable air conditioning units, as it will pop the circuit breaker and cut power to site.

Please start hydrating now! We will of course have ice water available at all times, and please be sure to take advantage of it.

Volunteer Shifts

Please sign up for a Volunteer Shift. Everyone is required to complete (1) 3-hour shift.

May 2024 Event Announcements

Less than a week out from the May 2024 Event at Camp Daniel Morgan, and we are so excited to welcome the Ward 5 Adventurers back to the Broken Rabbit Inn.

New Merch

As announced on social media, we have launched a new line of Xadune Merchandise on TeePublic.

Grab one of our flagship designs on a shirt, hoodie, mug, sticker, or one of several other products. If you bring us your Xadune TeePublic merchandise, we will tag it with an official Xadune tag and you will receive 1XP added to a character of choice! These designs WILL be rotated out, so make sure you grab them while you can!

You can still find our original design shirt on-site in both Ward 1 and Ward 5 designs. These come with 2XP.

Divine Updates

On the fourth, we updated and detailed the requirements for the Divine Path – the path to Priesthood. Read about it here!

Keeping Up with your Cards

As a reminder, you are required to keep track of your Skill usage and Body Points on the back of your character card. Even if you spent no Skill and lost no Body Points, make a note of it on the back of your card. Failure to do so will be considered cheating and repercussions will follow accordingly.

Similarly, you must have your Volunteer Shift signed for by a game runner. If your card is not signed, you will not get a reskill at your next attended event.

Lastly, please treat your character card as if someone will have to handle it after you turn it in. Spoilers: we do. While it is understood that cards get beaten up over the course of a weekend, please take some precautions to keep it neat. Do not turn in your character card wet, as it will mold before we get to it. Please do not squash a bug with your character card, and especially do not turn the card in with said bug still on the card. We kindly ask you treat your card as you would have others treat theirs if you were handling it post-game.

Volunteer Shifts

Please sign up for one shift.

2024 April Volunteer Shifts

We are only two days away from the April 2024 Event!

Please sign up for a volunteer shift below.

All Player Characters must complete (1) shift. One shift consists of 3 hours, either in the Tavern or as a Monster. Working in the Tavern has the added benefit of adding $4.50 on your tavern tab.

Remember, we recently have updated the Reskill rule, and as such, you can take your Reskill at any 10 minute rest during the event, so long as you completed a Volunteer Shift at your last played event or are new to Xadune. As such, there is no negative to taking a later shift.

2024 March Volunteer Shifts

We are only two days away from the March 2024 Event!

PLease sign up for a volunteer shift below.

All Player Characters must complete (1) shift. One shift consists of 3 hours, either in the Tavern or as a Monster. Working in the Tavern has the added benefit of adding $4.50 on your tavern tab.

March 2024 Event Information

Hello everyone! We hope all is well on the Friday! We are now one week, that’s seven days, out from game. The weather prophets claim there may be rain that Saturday, so pack an umbrella to be safe! Temperature wise, however, we are looking at some pretty sweet Game weather!

For those that have not had a chance, please look over your cards for any errors. They will be printed out for speedy check-in as normal and will not be altered on site. You have until Wednesday the 13th at 8pm to bring anything to our attention.

New Players: You have until Wednesday the 13th at 8pm to submit your character for approval. If you have any questions, please let us know either via Submit a Question or in your New-Players channel on Discord.

Additionally, the Department of Psychology at Pace University is looking to collect data on us nerdy types. As we at Xadune always like helping these alchemic studies in a pursuit to improve perception of our hobby, we invite anyone that wishes to take part. This will be a three part study looking at “emotional bleed-out”. Fun fun.

You can read the information sheet, and if you are interested, you can find the link on the Discord server.

If you would like to be a part of this by all mean please do. If not, then don’t do it, lol. I will say, for those that take the time to do all three surveys (the one before game, the one directly after, and the one a bit after) we will offer 1xp as a thank you for your participation. If you have any questions or concerns, please let us know.

Speaking of questions, we will be doing our semi-final answering of questions tonight, and our final question answering on Sunday evening. Any questions received after Sunday the 10th that are not character or card related will most likely not be answered until after the event, as is the norm.

January 2024 Event

Welcome to the Opener for Xadune’s 15th Season!

New Year, New Plot

Our Plot Team is headed up by Honor Garcia, who is joined by Forrest McKnight, Jesse Burns, Kelly Meinhold, Logan Sand, and Nigel Long. We are so excited to have them come on board and we can’t wait to see what stories they immerse us in.

Ward 1

This event is at FDR State Park in Pine Mountain, Georgia. The weather is thankfully looking warm, although much like every time we have visited FDR, it is going to rain. Please be sure to pack accordingly, with extra socks, good boots, and an umbrella.

As always, the FDR site represents Ward 1, Periwinkle District, to which the Fivers have been invited to view the dramatic reenactment of Dancing with Death Lasers and to participate in the Talent Extravaganza by Winston Schooner. An invitation to the illustrious Ward 1 is always a treat for the Fivers.

Volunteer Shifts

All volunteer shifts are now (3) hours, and each player needs to complete only one shift.

[M] indicates a Monster Shift, and [T] indicates a Tavern Shift. Read more about Volunteer Shifts here.

Beginning this event, each player will need to sign in and sign out of the Volunteer Shift books, including a marshal signature.
